I attended the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne where I was President of the Dental Students Society and achieved Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Merit in Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry in 2006. The following four years I spent in practice in my hometown of Coventry and attended Professor Paul Tipton’s Practical Advanced Restorative and Aesthetic Course. I spent a year’s sabbatical following my other passion in life, rock climbing. This took me across Africa, South-East-Asia and New Zealand and I have pioneered new rock climbing routes in Zimbabwe. I have been developing my practice through attendance on the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. The skills and knowledge gained on this course have revolutionised the way that I treat patients. Central to this is the use of contemporary techniques and an appreciation of the evidence base. I am a problem solver and believe in appreciating the mouth as a whole system to gain predictable results. As such I am capable of dealing with all but the most complex of issues within the mouth, from root canal treatment to veneers. I have a strong relationship with a local laboratory technician and together we are able to create stunning aesthetic work. For those who have lost their teeth, I particularly enjoy the challenge of creating life-like results in well fitting, comfortable false teeth.

I am now fully settled in Bristol with my partner and we can think of no better place to raise our two sons. The climbing has taken a temporary backseat, but I still enjoy exercising at the gym, swimming, skiing and walking the dogs.
