Implants

Dr Mark Gillis is pleased to offer dental implants as a solution for patients with missing or failing teeth. Dental implants offer a fixed solution to the problem of missing teeth without the need for preparation or drilling of the adjacent healthy teeth.

Dental implants are made from titanium and replicate the roots of a healthy tooth. The implant is placed surgically at the site of the missing tooth and after a healing period a restoration is attached to the implant. Depending on the number of missing teeth the restoration can take the form of an implant supported crown, bridge or denture.

If you are interested in dental implant therapy please contact our clinic to arrange a consultation. Mark will be pleased to carry out an assessment and provide a breakdown of the costs and timings involved for your individual case.

Thanks to a high level of post-graduate training Mark also offers oral surgery procedures such as wisdom tooth extractions. All surgical procedures can be carried out with the aid of intravenous sedation for patients with dental anxiety.

Mark is a member of the Society for Advancement in Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) the leading organisation overseeing the provision of sedation in dentistry. Mark is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the European Association for Osseointegration.
